Anniversaries can be difficult...untilyou begin to plan not to notice them. Very difficult, I'm still working on it. One thing that might help you is to turn your calendar to January 2008. All your calendars. They are the same day/dates but of course won't be showing July every time you glance at them.

Already you are catastrophizing. "hugs: It's easy to do with PTSD. But you are suspecting and fearing "the worst" that might happen, you just feel it.. well...that is the PTSD and not reality. Stop those thoughts. Tell yourself there really isn't any reason to fear this year being bad or worse than any other. That was then, this is now.

Panic is not an easy thing to mind, but you can get a handle on it. Step back from the memories and ill feelings that connect you to a time that isn't any more, and become aware of where you are right now and see that you are safe.

You can do this.
