Maybe by picking a different topic... something similar but not that, and submitting it, that will show that you aren't just trying to get out of doing a paper. You'll probably have to do a paper in it's place any way.

Can you swing something that is just about the kinds of abuse etc? What about a review of the program the Boy Scouts Of America uses to train their leaders and older youth? You can find that at sfcbsa.org and click on training and Youth Protection, if you wish. There's a "slide" presentation with information. IDK it's a bit more than just a report, but then you want special accommodations...and that might fill the spot (extra effort?)

BTW you are not a loser "just because" you can't study this topic. I think you are demanding too much on yourself, and aren't validating your experiences. Regardless of how much you think this should affect you, well, that really doesn't matter. It's that it does.
