I binge-watched an italian detective show this week on pbs/prime, and i was surprised at how the language just washed over me. The turns of phrases reverberated in my head. I was like, i dont recall my parents using such sophisticated language, how can this be so familiar to me? I believe the glp1 is holding back the food noise / anxiety in kind of the same if opposite way, if that makes sense!

Una it definitely makes sense. My grandparents on both sides of the family (RIP) were straight off the boat and they were very poor as was my father. He lived on the streets during his young adult days.
