I think we all feel this one at one time or another:

Will God walk off and leave me?
Will He never smile again?
Is His love worn threadbare?
Had His promise of salvation burned out?
Had He forgotten His manners?
Had he stalked off and left us all here?

But, no, not at all. God is always with us.
