I wouldn't know what to say about this, since i don't have any training in medicine. thatsaid, I was being treated for depression and my OCD by my primary physician, a family medicine practitioner. I still see her, but i decided to see a psychiatrist for specific advice. (In all honesty, i have been on these meds (Klonopin and Paxil) for many years and didn't think i needed to see a psychiatrist anymore. After all, my primary was willing to prescribe them.
But i had questions that seemed to be in the realm of a psychiatrist, so i found another one to help me.
A family practitioner knows the meds, but a specialist knows them even better.
