I feel sad today...... as my oldest son's dog died some time in the early morning and it was not the death every one would have wanted for a fourteen year old loyal dog... he was hit by a car, well probably a semi as he was not found intact.

How am I to tell me 24 year old son that he his best friend died - let a lone that he got hit my a car?

I honestly do not know how he got to the road..... as we live 200-300 feet back off the main road and he is almost completely blind / deaf - and can barely get around as he is often disoriented... why didn't he stay with the other two dogs?

My youngest son and I search for an hour for him in the early morning hours (darkness) and we were not able to find our precious little Snu... we even walked along the side of the road in the middle of the night looking for him - and now it hurts that he was hit not but 50 feet from the drive way... my husband found him when he left for work this morning.

Speechless.

I can only pray that the birth of my son's first baby in two weeks will help ease the pain of him losing his best friend - his first dog as a child.
