I take both Effexor and Celexa and the combo works for me. Effexor pulled me out a a really bad depression and worked on it's own for years. Then last year I went into another really bad depressive episode so my pdoc added Celexa and it helped. I also take risperidone to augment the anti-D's. I know it's frustrtating but sometimes it really is a case of trial and error.
