I don't know about there jinny, but here if you go bankrupt with a lawyer it costs a $1000 or more, but if you do the paperwork yourself it's less than $300, which is still a lot of money to someone in straits. I can't give you advice beyond checking on that. Be nice, don't avoid them, talk with them, try to make arrangements....if there are many people in the same situation, well, they just want some agreement and not stuff or to put everyone in jail.
