My mom has a best friend named "Virginia", and she is schizophrenic. Tonight when she was at my mothers she said she was thinking of commiting suicide.

My mother called me for advice and I told her to call the hospital, and if they couldn't reach her doctor, to call the police. Mom didn't want to, but I felt it necessary because we care very much for her safety and she would not go on her own.

Mom just called to let me know she went with the policeman to the hospital. I'm praying she is going to get good care.
