In terms of size it's width not length…but having said that I don't think it's *that* important (and I'm not just saying that because I'm "overcompensating")

In this case the old cliche holds: "It's not the size of the wand, etc. etc." Actually it's not so much about your "wand" but your emotional connection, and what you do with your hands and mouth… :-0
