I have since wiped the harddrive and reinstalled Vista. It took 18 hours the first time, when I first bought it nearly a year ago, and this time it was only and hour to set up and personalize. That means it did have a major issue from the store.

Anyway, it fixed the basic issues. It comes with McAfee on it...but it's the trial version and I have paid sub. so I need to continue on that.

I am now trying to set up the wireless network...running my Toshiba xp and router in the office, and using the new Toshiba (blue) in my bedroom. I put the hex key info in and only have "limited" connection.

I've done just about everything... and fixed everything through the network and sharing center. There were more than a few issues. The only one I can't seem to figure out now is that it fails the Ping test. No responces DHCP server.

The intel tools give info but either I'm brain dead or it is confusing on it's own.

Would the DHCP server be the XP computer in the office, the one running the network?
