I've told it to select a new IP addy... because yes, they are normally both on the same one... didn't help

I've turned OFF the only firewalls I have found, the windows and the McAfee... but only on the one computer...but will turn them ALL off and see what happens...

The repair wizard says that 120 packets (up to 160) are being noticed but none are being received... that's from the computer that isn't receiving them... ok. If the doggone program knows how many there are, and it's receiving enough data to see them, why isn't the computer also "receiving" them? Makes me wish I had played around with packet radio when my older son was #1 in the State doing so.

Well, I'm almost there. I'm so far ahead of where I was just last week on these problems... gives me hope of figuring it out. Now when I do figure it out, if I can just REMEMBER it!
