At our second appointment in April, my pnurse brought it up.

She recommended it again when I had a crisis a few weeks ago. But long story short, we couldn't get financing quickly enough so I just went somewhere to get stable.

I think she's right. I need that place, for a lot of reasons. Best place in the country to treat internet / sex addiction. Dual diagnosis and a good track record with Bipolar and eating disorders and all of it.

The problem? It would mean an entire MONTH off work, possibly 6 weeks. And...they want me to pay the full $37,000 up front, then wait and "hope" my insurance will pay a portion. Chances are they will only pay what they call 'usual and customary' and only for as long as they deem 'medically necessary'

The good part is, if my insurance DOES pay, there is a $3,000 out-of-pocket maximum. I can handle that! But not the full $37,000 and a month off work!!

What do you think? Try to get financing and pay for it...somehow...eventually? Or just say forget it for now?

I have to wait until early August at least. I need to get some other things in order before I leave. For one thing, I have some sisters coming to visit - so I better be home when they come! That would suck for them if I'm not. I also need to finish the CPA exam. Yikes. Like that will happen...ay yi yi. I hope.
