First round of emergency stuff went okay. He's stable but they're not done and I don't know when he'll be back At least I know that much.

Still can't visit him, still sitting by the phone, hoping I'll get some miraculous ring saying he's perfectly fine and I can come see him. No sleep last night, not that sleep matters right now.
