Just want to say Hi to everyone. I havn't been online for about a year, but I got internet service again. This is the most helpful site I have ever encountered. I had a weird experience with perscription drugs and DID. 2 years ago I was taking Celexa, an antidepressant, and it worked great and helped control my panic attacks. I stopped taking it over a year ago because of divorce and loss of healthcare insurance. Anyway, 3 weeks ago I felt I needed it again because of depression and panic attacks. When I started taking it again my body reacted totally different to it - I had severe panic attacks, nightmares that were worse than normal, and my depression seemed worse. I tried to hang in there, but after three weeks, I had to stop taking the Celexa. I was trying to weane off Ativan but the Celexa caused me to take more than normal because of worse panic attacks. I don't know if it's because my body chemistry changed or maybe having DID causes our bodies to react differently to the same medication at different times. Has anyone else had to change medications because of DID?
