what does friendship.. mean to you????

if someone says... you are "important" to them??? what does it mean???

seriously... what would you do for a friend?? the pat answer is anything...

but.. if you were friends.. for 27 years with someone... and they were dying.. would you help them???

hells bells.. my best friend.. is a millionare.. so.. you would think.. that many things would be within her grasp.. to help a friend..

a friend that rich.. could hire.. a housekeeper for you once a week for a year, they could hire a part time cook for you.. for a year, they could.. hire someone to stock your freezer for 6 months...

what.. do I do.. for my friends.. well I sit thru endless rounds of chem.. and stem cell gathering... I sit thru surgeries... and healing.. I send them cards to make them laugh... when they need a laugh... I pick out the prefect dog.. pretend it is for me.. and it is really the pertect dog for them - but I know.. they will never get it for themselves.. so I do...

My T... says I have a "warped" view on friendship.... and I God help me.. am starting to believe it...

But.. if you don't have family.. then you are.. just completely out of luck... cause......... then... what is there????????
