This suggestion probably won't help you one iota, but a book I discovered opened a world of healing for me... me being an adult child of alcoholics... was Healing for Adult Children of Alcoholics by Sara Hines Martin published by Broadman Press. Even if you don't go as in-depth as you'd like, the book is a fantastic read and sites many, MANY books and films. Check it out. You might find something useful in it for you. =)
