Wow Pegasus, I'm reeling just reading this thread.
I can only imagine that it must feel like to have your whole world change so quickly.

I always try to find the positive in any situation. So, please forgive me (or ignore me) if this is not what you want to hear.

You now know the truth, which gives you more control, power, and knowledge than you've had over the last 3 years! Now you can move forward in your life, and make educated decisions. It's rather like the blindfold has been taken off, and although your eyes sting with the sudden flooding of light, once they adjust you'll be able to see everything more clearly.

Whenever I have to encounter major change, I try to remind myself that major upset leaves room for major growth. Now that my world has been rocked -- what can I do to re-assert myself as navigator of my own life?

Maybe you a degree isn't that important? Maybe there is a perfect job for you that does not require a degree? Maybe it is time to enroll in school? Maybe it is time for a career change?

The real question is: what do you want? Not what *did* you want, but what do you want right now, and in the future. Try brainstorming different options. Maybe ask friends and colleagues what ideas they might have for you.

Hang in there, and try to keep the faith in yourself!!
