Yo Girl! Listen & learn... I am a unemployed psych LPN w/ many ED's (strange, huh? ) I DO know that NO ONE should lose any large amounts of weight in a short period of time! It effects the working rhythms of the heart; your neuro-transmitters go wacky & tell your body to do strange things (please don't ask for examples, just trust me o.k? I'm tired) Your thyroid hormone levels get screwed up thus, the faster you lose your metabolism fights for it's life and will oversecrete...making the overall "fast weight loss" harder on your brain, your heart, your pulmonary system & your hormones go wacko. Your body will fight for all those cells you're dropping, so.....when you stop "trying to lose weight" Your body will hang onto every single bit of nutrient that enters your body = the weight will come back up faster,PLUS making any additional "trying to lose" after that almost impossible (very, very hard) Any time someone loses and/or gains any large amount of caloric intake puts extra stress on EVERY system in your body! That's why they call the human body fascinating...because EVERYTHING is effected by everything you do to it!

Congratulations! You just passed Nutrition 100-ED ((((((Dayzee9)))))))Veteran Psych Case et. al.
