I think tapering is a good idea. However, you should not take Vyvanse and Strattera together without your doctor knowing. There might be a problem with that--who knows. If your doc thinks you stopping Strattera and then starting Vyvanse, and instead you are taking both of them, that is not good. Please call up your pdoc and get his OK on taking both of these drugs at once.

I know this is a completely different drug, but I took buspar for a while, then felt if wasn't working anymore, and my doc told me to quit cold turkey, that there would be no problem so I didn't need to taper. That actually was not true. It really destabilized me. I was so volatile. Yuck.
