Hi!
I'm not quite sure how things work with bariatric surgery.. but I've lost about 125 lbs on my own.. and I've observed a pattern in the last 10 months.
#1. Carbs don't just put weight on me.. it does it FAST! I know it can't be actual fat, so I'm guessing it's a fluid reaction.
#2. This is a biggie.. cause I'm a freak with fluid gain.
I've learned that when our fat cells drain, fluid rushes into them to make up the void. The scale will tell me that I'm 3 lbs down and the next day I'll be 5 lbs up! Now.. we ALL know this can't be fat. Eventually, the 5 lbs comes off and THEN some.
I know how down I can get with the fluctuations.... makes me just wanna pull my hair out - but I sit myself down and say "self... this is but a mere pebble in the road".
Sit down and take a good look at what you're eating. If it's all on plan, just keep on keepin' on with it.. don't give up.
