Right, I think I've got it sorted. This is my plan for building my self esteem. What do you think?...
Challenge my old beliefs by systematically going through the evidence 'supporting' them and looking at it objectively, hopefully identifying the distorted thinking (overgeneralisations, etc)
Use repeated affirmations to install new beliefs and then place myself in situations i may have formerly denied my access to, which will provide an oppurtunity to receive evidence for my new beliefs.
Apart from that, i can only remember and repeat things like "I am more than the sum of my parts" and instrinsic worth and self compassion. But the above is all i can think of doing "behaviour" wise rather than simply remembering the things associated with self compassion (such as just repeating in my head "sometimes life is unfair" etc)
I just wanted to run this past you guys as I thought a second opinion would be useful in seeing if i have missed anything glaringly obvious out.
Thanks.
