I think that is a huge problem for me as well... I think it involves letting go of some of the fear and putting yourself out there more, trusting the people in your life more, and letting go of the hurts, pains, and resentments that we carry with us. Stop blaming yourself for not loving yourself or for not being good enough... Know that you are good enough, and lovable enough, noone is perfect...that is the key... Perfection does not exist here on earth....lower your expectations of yourself and others...a hard thing to do for me...but something that I am working on every day... Yes, it is hard to look in the mirror still, but I now feel that I deserve to be treated with respect and put boundaries in place to deal with those people who for whatever reason want to step on my boundaries...
