I mean, if it's so important that you HAVE to play on a team or your child HAS to play on a team, then just do it solely on the weekends/vacation/etc. Or, just suck up the late nite deal.

I remember earlier in the year, I was a member of an academic team, we stayed after school for practice every wednesday, and every other wednesday we'd go for a match against another school. We didn't get home on your average night until 7 or 8 o clock. It wasn't that hard going home at 8:30 at night, still do all the work that needed to be done, and go to bed at a good hour. (And heck, I was a Junior last year, which has the most work load here, being bombarded with a kajillion exams at the end of the year, every class was cramming)</font>
