Dear Brian,
I agree, everyone has a story, but they aren't the same, that's for sure.
What is happening to us, is painful. No one is less important or more when it comes to depression ... just sometimes we get temp. relief realizing it 'could' get worse, but hope it doesn't.
Most depressed people are overweight that I know.
That's where we can chose to do something to aide our health and over-all sense of satisfaction, even if the world is crumbling around us. Self care.
Please find the strength to add self care back into your life by finding another therapist, maybe a Guy, or an older woman ... someone who the set-up is not there for transference of you-know-what.
The health issues will mostly disappear when you return to a healthier weight.
That is how it works. South Beach has something new and improved and Weight-Watchers is now on line, and for folks who like meat, and lots of it, Atkins rules for them.
You have much on your plate Brian, how can you not be affected.
I can hear you. I hear how you miss a therapist to help you sort things through.
Bless your heart, Brian, and I will send comforting positive thought your way ....
You need them just as much as the other Guy, or me, like you say, everyone has a story.
I hope yours will improve 1000 times because you also bring joy and laughter to others.
Don't forget your gifts... You are one in a million!
love and healing,
night
