
In the USA I think we all had to have a "supervisor" before we could be licensed...no matter how good you were! Since I had a doctorate, it was only 1 year of supervision (I paid a psychiatrist to review my cases etc.) If I had only had a masters, it would have been 3 years. It's really a good thing because you have not only her, but her supervisor also to help.
If you wish to discuss something else, say so. Why not talk about your symptoms and what she reports as your dx to the insurance company or for the record? That might shed some light on why she feels allowing your "inner child" (we all have one you know) to have a "voice."
Therapy can be quite slow... keeps from digging up ovewhelming material too quickly.
