I don't believe he did this out of disrespect at all .... i think the other posters are correct in saying it is a modern day thing and personally I think it will begetting more popular ... women are more independant and don't believe we should always have to take a mans name just because we get married ..... some don't agree, we are all entitled to do what we wish as adults ...
