thanks Sky... CBT might address some of those things.. something for everyone somewhere.. ive found my spirituality to be what ive needed to recenter myself... i went to a lot of counselors over the years.. sometimes it helped, sometimes it didnt.. it seems we all need to grow in our own way and in the space of time we need...
i hope others will read the link and if something useful is found there for them then it is a good thing they have that option..
for me, i like to keep things on a more personal level.. meaning to be a part of the natural world around myself... i learn correct behavior in simple things.. like the way a mother nurtures and nourishes a child... thats natural kindness that i can observe everyday and seeing it in real life is better for me on an interactive level...
my dad was able to teach me about correct behavior as a child, but some stumbling stones caused me to lose my way...the ideas of correct behavior has always been present in my mind but was clouded over as i searched for feelings lost...
coming out of depression is like a slow uncovering of the original self that has been buried under years of negative reinforcement... but i can tell when its working...
