Hi Kaika, I have recovered from anxiety and understand what you are saying. What would happen with your parents when you didn't follow the rules? I have had to get over the fear of confrontation. What I realized is that I wasn't so much afraid of the situation at hand but that the situation was triggering my fears from the past. What I did was stop and tell myself that this situation isn't what is scaring me so much but that it is just triggering past feelings. I would look at the current situation and tell myself that there really isn't so much here to trigger such a response. I would do this every time and each time my triggered feelings would get less and less until they just stopped being triggered completely. Basically, I guess, I just left these feelings where they belonged - in the past. I couldn't even tell you where the feelings actually came from, they were just all stored there ready for release!
