Labels are just fancy things given to categorize your behaviour, and put you in a box. (My opinion, for the most part). Labels can be helpful in dealing with problems you experience, but maybe not all the time. Do you think having this diagnosis will be beneficial for you, in changing the way that therapy is done?

If you think its totally pointless, then don't worry about it. Some pdocs & t's need to put down diagnoses for insurance purposes, and sometimes personality tests aren't really useful.

Don't worry too much about it. I probably have dependent personality characteristics, borderline & some avoidant... but I'm not about to go get labelled as such unless it helps me. I don't think it would.

Beyond that... As you know, Doc has some good resources listed for understanding the personality disorders. Maybe you can see yourself in the characteristics?
