Okay, I'm not a medical doctor by any means, but if it happens again (I hope it doesn't) see if they're willing to try Macrobid (also called Nitrofurantoin). I was told by my pharmacist that it's good for acute (frequent) UTIs. I've actually been quite happy with it overall.

Beyond that... cranberry juice, with less sugar, works well. Frequent urination too, even if you don't feel you have to.
