Awww, no I don't think you'll die of grief. When my father died I cried in the fetal position for at least a week. Grieving takes a while, you'll be okay.

On the other hand I do think that when an older couple losses their life long partner they will die of a broken heart. It happened to my Aunts grandparents they were in their late 80's early 90's. They passed within two months of each other.

But no that is not your situation you will be okay and you must be strong for your daughter and her friends mother.
