My step-son used to tell me that but it was understandable to me. Every time he said that I'd say "That's okay. I LOVE you!" It wasn't long before he stopped.

I've been asked to adopt my kids' friends. In fact, my daughter's friends called me "Mom" all on their own.

If it had been up to me, I would have had six more after my youngest. That would have made TEN kids! Oh, but what a housefull of love I would have had! It's been hard accepting that I have an empty nest. Sure miss my kids, expecially when I have the grandkids. I have one that is so much like his dad, it's almost like having his dad little again. I wouldn't trade my motherhood for anything in this world!
