It is totally normal to have problems with trust after an abusive relationship.
I do believe it is possible to heal and move forward, but it does require some work and having a good T can really help the process.
I found myself in an abusive relationship. At first I blamed him, but at a certain point I had to look at myself and ask *why* I put up with all that abuse. I realized I may never be able to change other people, but I CAN change what I will and will not accept in my life.
With the help of therapy, I am learning to trust, and to feel more confident in my own worth.
