I agree - it is better not to dwell on it.
And it is not a usual occurrence.
I believe that it was unprovoked (according to the news reports of what the witnesses have said).
The other people on the bus were also probably feeling shocked, afraid, alarmed, etc - without the immediate answers - how could any of them have had the time to develop an effective plan to stop this man. And considering his size (6 feet tall) - that would be expecting a lot for any man to try to stop him alone.
I keep thinking of the young man, the other passengers, the bus driver - and how they actually did handle things.
I figure that the perpetrator must have some psychiatric problems - he could have been hallucinating, delusional, paranoid, on meds, - if he was simply angry & impulsive (that's a diffferent matter - except that anyone who would do that HAS to be insane) - but he came onto that bus with a weapon.
Well - he is in the hands of the police at this time.
And the young man is dead.
I won't bring it up again.
