Sometimes I just get so sick of the whole thing and I get confused and I don't know what to do...the hopelessness gets overwhelming.

I can soooo relate to this statement. I was so overwhelmed by all the stuff going on in my head the last few weeks that I canceled my session this week thinking it would give me a break from it..... IT DIDN'T. In fact it created a lot more "stuff" and I am feeling more lost now than earlier in the week. At this point I am so upset with my T's lack of response that I am totally done with it all and not planning on going back at all.
If you are really considering taking a break from the process, I would recommend talking with your T face-to-face first. Explain that you are overwhelmed and talk about it. That way if you do actually stop for a while it is more of a planned break, than a knee jerk break.

I second this relating to the overwhelm. ANd chaotic, this is good for me to know - I have been thinking of calling and cancelling too. I will have to re-think this. things can't get worse.... i won't make it.
