I feel so bad for your puppy! Can you go to the vet and tell her/him the whole situation and see what they say? I'd be concerned too...also, there is a book that may help with the flea problem (and others in the future...) called Keep Your Dog Healthy the Natural Way by Pat Lazarus. It has a lot of advice that is holistic, nutrition-based, etc..
