You are not trash. You have shown here that you are a kind and caring person. And giving up your kids was an act of love courage and strength.. I know it's hard sometimes to feel good about ourselves, but remember drinking will make any problem worse.

I'm struggling a lot at the moment with wanting to drink, on an upcoming vacation, but I keep reminding myself how much better my life is now that I''m sober and how I don't want to go back to that miserable broken person I was when I was drunk all the time.

Believe in yourself. You're stronger than you think. You can pull through this.
