So glad that you talked to an addictions councillor. Now I know it's going to be hard, but try to do exactly what she says, don't drink any more or less than you're supposed to - you have to ween yourself off slowly.

I remember thinking how funny it was when my addictions Dr. prescribed scotch to me, the third time I detoxed before starting a day treatment program. It was too late in the day for her to start me on valium and there were no beds so she couldn't admit me. I was already showing withdrawl symptoms pretty bad, and because I'd had withdrawl seizures before, she didn't want to risk another one. Her perscription 375 ml of scotch. LOL. I started detox the next day.

You can do this. You have everyone at PC cheering for you.
