Anyone in Chicagoland knows that we all have some very strong storms and some areas, tornados. I just got a weather alert that tornados are traveling within a matter of miles from where I'm at--precisely the next town over from the line of travel. We still have several hours of storms to pass yet, so I'm a little nervous about staying dry and safe tonight. I have a covered place that will provide shelter from the rain, but I don't consider it a guarantee since it's open on both ends (like a carport). The rain does drain in and down to the gutter in the street over about half of this area. The rain also blows in with the wind, of course, with it being an open area. I felt safer in my old place before that IDIOT cop came along and kicked me out for no reason but harassment and threaten to arrest me if I came back. I'm considering going back there anyway tonight just for the safety issue.
