I was on an antidepressant in 1995 that actually worked, but I can't remember what it was. I'd really like to suggest it to my shrink as the celexa isn't cutting it. I keep thinking it was either Luvox, Effexor, or Zoloft. I remember it being a large pill, and if I'm not confusing memories, I think I took it twice a day.
I asked once about a drug that may have brought on a manic episode, but the more I think about it, the more I don't think I was manic.
I woke up awake, had energy all day and went to bed tired. I was motivated, unafraid of things and life was great. Although I made bad decisions at the time, I think that if I were still in the situation that I was in then, I'd make the same choices. (I broke out of an abusive situation-not the wisest way, but they were desperate times).
I believe I took half a dose in the morning and then again late afternoon. I recal trying to drink a beer one night and passing out after just a couple swallows.
I tried calling Walgreens, but they don't keep records back that far. And I can't remember who my doctor was (he was just an internist, not a shrink).
Anyway, I have an appt with the shrink on Monday morning and I don't want to just tell her 3 possible drugs and waste months of time trying them all out.
Any ideas? Big pill-white I believe, taken twice a day.
