Monty, it really sucks when a basic necessity is gone. One of those things you take for granted. I know i been there and still dealing with the water thing three years going on now.
Do what Kimmy says, watch out for warnings when the water does come back on.
If ya'll get rain, stick out a bunch of buckets to catch the water. We used that water for the toilet and bathing. Then used bottled water for cooking and drinking. And someone mentioned draining the water from the hot water heater. That works great too, but doesnt last long. So conserve on what you have.
I think they will get that water line fixed pretty fast.
