Water...how we take it for granted! I have lived on a couple of farms where water was scarce...one had a yukky cistern, and I wouldn't dring the water, and even hated to bathe in it! The little well on that ridgetop farm would pump a few gallons and then turn muddy.
Also, I grew up in the coal mining region of WV. After they started strip mining there, with shaking blasts down the narrow valley, all the well water was ruined and turned iron red.
So I never take good water for granted.
I hope your water supply comes back soon. In the meantime, do what others have suggested here, and be safe.
