Yes, this mostly related to children with chronic infections, my nephew was one of these kids but my ex-sister-in-law, had refused it, this was almost 16 years ago, he is now 20, and fortunately got rid of this problem when he was a kid still.
Mine so far is not ruled as an infection, but doc says the fluid build up may eventually cause hearing loss in this ear that has a narrow ear canal, people, not all, and even my dog was born with a narrow left ear canal, this mal formation causes problems.
I'm tossing this around, but am convinced like the doc said, "do not let this go too much longer" it is important to have this procedure. . . damn, it is always something
