Ryan, what you wrote was so nice and sweet and made me feel really good about the things I said were not big accomplishments.
They really are big. I can remember back when I could not drive or even sit in the drivers seat because I was so very afraid that something bad would happen so I didn't want to be in control. Being able to drive again has been such an experience. I actually feel free when I'm riding down the road. I turn my music up and get lost in it. I love that. I love it because I used to love it before and wasn't able to do that for a long while.
Going back to work was also another experience that was scarry for me. I was so afraid what everyone would think of me. I wondered if they even cared. When I went back I received hugs, gifts and lots of "WELCOME BACK". It made me feel good.
I guess I do have to cut myself some slack. It is so hard though. I think dishing out advice to others is a way to take the focus off of my own problems but at the same time, I'm helping others. I love to help others.
