I've seen several of the "Gift from Within" videos and thought they were good to understanding different aspects of PTSD:

The prices aren't that high, but if you know of any local professionals interested in PTSD training, consider asking if they would purchase a copy of interest to you and share it with you. Another idea would be to speak with a staff member of your local public library, suggesting they obtain a copy for the library. You can e-mail Gift From Within and ask for copies of their their brochure of videos to be mailed to you. Their website has a lot more info on it - all free.
Take care and hope,

"Trauma survivors... they become thrivers, and they become teachers. They can go back and remember various things, and answer all those questions we have. They have hope, and they have sense, and the ability to care about other people... to look into the eyes of others who have gone through the things that they have gone through, and to be at peace with that, and to show that they did it." - Dr. Charles R. Figley
