If I haven't already told you, Virginia, my mother in law has breast cancer. On Friday, she will be getting a double masectomy. Here is an email from her regarding her surgery.
______________________________________________________________________________
I will go in for surgery Friday, Aug. 15. Scheduled at 9:30 am, have to be there at 7:30am. I will be at Feather River Hospital in Paradise and will come home Saturday. Besides praying for me, please pray for the surgeon, Dr. Ludington, a wonderful Christian. and Ted, who is having a hard time with this. I know God has me in His hands. Mike, a wonderful Christian brother gave me the picture of his kids, age 2 and 4, jumping in the pool knowing he would catch them and how I need that child-like faith to jump into my Father's arms, trusting him and knowing I am safe in his arms, no matter what! That is where I am.
Love, Gini
Please pray for my daughter and her family, too.
EDIT: Ted is Virginia's husband. Just talked to youngest who talked to his sister last night. It appears that my daughter will be the one doing all the caregiving. She was elected to care for Virginia after the last surgery.
Maybe God will answer more than one prayer here. My daughter told my youngest son that the in-law family is so different than "ours". We close ranks when a family member is in need. They don't. Maybe my daughter will start to realize that I'm not the wicked witch she makes me out to be.
