Well, I haven't been diagnosed with any dissociative disorder, but I was diagnosed with depression, and when I was dxed with that I wasn't scared... I guess it was good to finally understand what was happening to me and to have a term to be able to discuss it. I guess that could apply to your diagnosis as well - to finally have a name to what happens. But then, a diagnosis is just a label, and knowing what you have is more power to you to be able to tackle the problem and understand the root of it... you're still the same person as you were before the dx was made, so I wouldn't think it's weird to not be scared... but then that's just my opinion
