I am going to vent alittle here if you don't mind. My brother is bipolar 1 and I am bipolar 2. Growing up with my brother was not easy because he was manic a lot of the time and my parents didnt understand what he was going on with him. He got dx bipolar 1 when he was an adult. My brother and parents fought a lot of the time. My brother went 15 years without us seeing him. Then he came back for a few years and then went away again for 4 more years. Now he is 47 and I am 43 . After not seeing him for 4 years , I started looking and just found him. He doesn't want a relationship with my Mom but he wants it with my son, and husband and myself. It is hard to keep our relationship a secret and i know my mom still cares about him. Dad died a few years back. Mom holds alot of anger toward my brother and my brother knows this that is why he keeps his distance.

I am very excited to have found him but I dont want him to run off again. Hard to get close and lose him again. Thanks for letting me vent alittle.
