Yeah, some love it and some hate it.

My friends cat when given nip would become bitey. My one friend (they're married) would put the catnip on his (the cats) fur and watch it go nuts. His wife (my other friend) didn't find it as amusing.

I've always seen that cats my family has owned have loved catnip... but *shrug* some will, and some wont.
